Every two months I feature a new artist on 1” buttons in my button vending machine located at Pitch Black Printing Co. in Reno, NV.
February - March 2020: Dale Slingland
Dale Slingland is currently working on solo shows, group shows and outdoor events. NadaDada was a great leap forward to his art career. Dale has exhibited his work in the Reno area in places such as Artown’s opening Jubilee, the Wildflower Gallery, Sierra Arts Gallery, Nada Dada, La Terre Verte, Reno Art Works and the Luxury Suites at Greater Nevada Field (Aces Ballpark). He has also painted an art table for the Great Basin Brewery and a newspaper box for the Reno News and Review. Dale has participated in a number of local art events such as Art in the Park (Artown), Brew Haha, and has many more events coming up in 2020. His work is mostly oil paints on canvas or Artist board, but he has also done pastels, pencil on paper, watercolor and photography.

December 2019 - January 2020: Jamie Swift
J. Swift, a reclusive resident of Reno, with a powerful penchant for penwork. And alliteration, apparently. Their unassuming exterior belies a macabre soul, interested in all things strange and ridiculous.

October - November 2019: Angie Terrell
Angie Terrell is a painter, printmaker and letterpress conservationist. Her work focuses on Nevada wildlife and the occult. She has a bachelors in painting from UNR.

August - September 2019: nickie robinson
Nickie Robinson is a Reno based artist. Her work is focused around darker themes and macabre surrealism. Her pieces come from occult based inspirations and/or play with subconscious imagery. Most of her artwork is painted with acrylic on canvas to emphasize bold colors and negative spaces for dramatic impact.

June - July 2019: Christopher Stehman
Christopher Stehman is a graphic designer and the creator of Bloops. Bloops are interesting yellow characters that were influenced by 90’s cartoons and 80’s horror movies. Bloops are also in a way, self portraits of Christopher. You can find Bloops in paintings, stickers, buttons and shirts.
